Casa Capra is an independent, artist-led contemporary art space dedicated to supporting artistic research, experimentation and exchange outside the traditional institutional and commercial art system. Based in Schio, in the Veneto region of Italy, Casa Capra creates a space for exhibitions, projects, publications and encounters that connect emerging and established artists with local communities and wider international networks. Our mission is to foster contemporary artistic practices, encourage dialogue between different disciplines and perspectives, and contribute to the development of an independent cultural ecosystem beyond the major art centres.
Funding:
Casa Capra is primarily self-funded through the work and personal resources of its founder and artistic director, Saverio Bonato, and through the activities of Associazione Conci, the non-profit organisation managing the space. Specific projects and cultural activities may also receive public funding, grants, institutional support or project-based contributions. The space does not operate as a commercial gallery and does not rely on sales of artworks as its main source of income.
